Business Entreprenuerial School of Technology (BEST)
Preparatory High School is housed on the McClymonds Educational Complex, formerly McClymonds High School. BEST is one of two new small autonomous interconnected high schools which opened on August 29, 2005. This school is a vital part of the West Oakland community which is experiencing a rebirth of businesses, families, and housing.
BEST is a school which addresses the needs of the whole child - academic, social, medical, and mental.
The teacher/student ratio is an average of 1:25, and we provide myriad of positive intervention services. BEST students and faculty enjoy many school partnerships.
